What’s a Holiday Swim Program?
The holiday program runs for 4 - 5 days consecutively over 1 week  during the school holidays.  It is great to accelerate progression.  Enquire at Reception.

Will I need to be assessed?
If you are unsure of your child’s level of ability then a free assessment is available.  This must be booked through Reception so a suitable time and day can be arranged.

How will my 3 year old react to this new environment?
Most 3 year olds have a fear of new people, new situations and parent separation.  We recommend a visit to the Centre before lessons commence, and including a child in this initial process can aid success.

Most parents are concerned with safety.  Pool and other water hazards don’t go away in the winter, so staying current with skills and being consistent with safe behaviour around the water throughout the year
is important.

Do I need to bring any special swimming equipment?
Yes, you must supply your own:
Goggles                good quality (labelled)
Bathers & Towel    no board shorts or sola suits
                           as they hinder swimming progress.
Bathing Cap           protects hair, and helps to retain warmth.
Aquatic Nappy       this is essential if not toilet trained

Remember everyone is thirsty and hungry after swimming

Even as your child becomes more skilled and confident in the water, we emphasise that there is no safeguard against drowning.
The only safe child is the supervised child.
